For Emma
After the long car trip, I have been absolutely exhuasted this week. I almost stayed home today, but I really have a hard time justifying staying home when I'm able to come to work. Anyway, when I'm this tired, my hands shake, so the dots aren't the best.
I used the colors from the CC181 at SCS. The base is creamy caramel (I had no kraft, but I think this color went nicely with the squirel anyway), black and rose red. The back ground was stamped with leaves and acorns on white and colored with copics. I sponged it with bashful blue. the squirel and branch were also colored with copics. I stamped the sentiment, punched it with the small oval, inked it with rose red and framed it with the larger oval, punched from black. I added the primas and a dew drop to finish it off.

The colors I used on this are soft sky (my last piece, wishing I had gotten some more now), wild wasabi, pumpkin pie and certainly celery. The dp is basic grey phoebe. The green ribbon is from walmart and the pumpkin pie ribbon is from SU. I inked all the edges with coordinating colors except the soft sky, which I don't have. I used cool carribean and then just a little bit of blue bayou, which I also used to ink the edges of the dp. I used my nesties for the ovals and circles and my cuttlebug for the certainly celery layer. The turtle was lovingly colored with copics :)

TGIF
I made this card for Mother Mark's Tpot Tuesday #7 (trying to get caught up on those from when I was out of commision) and the CC180 at SCS. I used Chocolate Chip as my neutral for my base and layered using, ruby red, cuttlebugged. The DP is Basic Grey Blush layered with close to cocoa. I used my MFT Here's the Scoop for the image and the sentiment. All the layers are inked with coordinating colors. The gingham ribbon, I've had forever - isn't it cute. I thought I was done and then I decided to ticket punch the corners and add the pearls, add the flowers and finally add the spoon.

Hump day
This acetate box was made for TLC182. I was happy with the way it turned out and it was easy! I've had this inkadinkado stamp for a while and had not used it yet, so that was fun. It even got a comment from my much adored idol, Faith "Markie's Mom" Hofrichter. Although I'm sure she must have to comment on a certain number of the challenges or something! LOL!
The kids and I bought some ceramic piggies awhile back and tried to decorate them. Emma's came out SO cute. And, Kai's looks like a very enthusiastic 4 year old made it. Well, I tried to use some older rubons on mine and they didn't exactly go on well. So, when I saw this metallic piggy for $2.50 at the target $1 spot, I snapped him right up. I used some SU rubons and they worked quite nicely. My plan is to use this for my stamping fund. We'll have to see how that turns out!
